The identity of the caller is unknown, and upon answering, there was only silence, making the late evening call particularly unsettling

These calls are almost certainly bogus survey scams. Callers masquerade as representatives from a well‑known market research firm, ask generic age‑group or opinion questions, and pressure you to continue when you decline. Because the number repeatedly rings, often from different spoofed prefixes, it fits the pattern of harassment‑type telemarketing. The safest move is to let the call go to voicemail, never share personal details, and add the number to your phone’s block list. If a legitimate survey is needed, the organization will follow up with a verifiable email or official website link. Report persistent offenders to your carrier or the national fraud helpline.

This number was unknown, so I didn't pick up and plan to block it.
This number called at 8.35pm. I didn't answer, and no message was left.
At 8.30 pm, I answered a call without checking the ID, anticipating a different call. Upon hearing the IPSOS claim, I recognised it as suspicious and disconnected. I’ll verify caller IDs and block such numbers in the future.
Research indicates that this number belongs to Ipsos MORI, a reputable market research company established in the late 1940s, which collects data for major organisations; however, caution is advised as scammers often impersonate legitimate survey companies.
The call went unanswered as it was from an unknown number
After reading the comments on this site, I'm relieved I didn't answer the 8:17 pm call from this unrecognised number, and I've since blocked it to avoid any potential issues.

I was asked to participate in a survey. The caller was persistent even after I declined politely. They've tried reaching me on multiple numbers.
Apparently it was a market reserch call, but I didnt bother to listen as I'm not intersted in partisipating in such things.
A person claiming to be from IPSOS MORI rang me, they asked if i was willing to particpate in a survey and i agreed, they didnt ask for any sensetive informations like my adress or date of birth which is a good sign, however its allways best to be cautious
The call was deemed a nuisance and ignored.

Unsolicited calls are being made
A man who said he was from IPSOS Mori Scotland called me. I've had no prior contact with them and they shouldn't have my information.
This service has been invaluable in helping me distinguish between legitimate calls and potential scams, as I only answer calls from known numbers or those that leave a voicemail
Received calls from this number last night and today. Last night, the caller asked if I fell into a specific age group and then inquired about educational qualifications. I replied yes, so I didn't qualify. When I questioned today's call, he said it was because I hadn't answered the questions. I reminded him of the previous conversation, and he apologized politely.
They've been calling with different numbers for months. Don't answer, especially the Scottish ones.
The call was highly suspicious, as it was immediately terminated, prompting me to question the validity of the number.
