Yet another potential scammer? I picked up initially, faced a prolonged pause before anyone talked, recognised it as a forwarded line, and disconnected.
Scammer faking to be 118, then admitted he wasn't but calling for them. Wanted to check business info, wrapped that up, then said he'd connect me to a rep. Told him I didn't want jack from him, but he got pushy, so I cut the line. Probably after your biz or site deets, or a listing rip-off. Indian accent, likely a scam call centre.
Just another unsolicited sales fraudster – I've now blocked it
Pretended to be 'Ryan' from 118. Queried if I owned the business (I don't) or handled finances. Then verified my contact info, which I provided. At call's end, pushed for a chat with another rep on online presence. I declined the need. He turned impolite, insisting I remain on hold. I disconnected; he rang back thrice using various numbers. On the last one, I picked up and stated we wanted no services. He claimed it was gratis and demanded I stay. I said I was occupied and uninterested; he lost temper, shouting I had to listen. I called him discourteous, told him to stop bothering us, and ended the call.

Frequent calls from them inquiring whether they're speaking to the company proprietor. When I question which company, they occasionally claim my phone is linked to a firm, yet online checks reveal it's made up. They inquired if I owned a business and upon my affirmative reply, pressed for the name, but disconnected abruptly after I refused to disclose it. Clearly fraudulent.
Posing as 118 services, callers demand the business owner and personal details. I declined to share any, and they hung up straight away. Sounds well shady, mate.
Faking to be BT or 118 to extract personal data, then they disconnect once they sense you're wise to them!

Phoned our business twice, both times with poor English like an Indian call centre. Wanted the owner each time. First call claimed 118 Online, grilled us on contact info - didn't trust them, so requested removal from list. Next day, same number but different company name; challenged it and he disconnected. Number blocked.
