Opinia expertului
Ever wonder why a call from +441133668300 keeps popping up with vague mortgage or insurance questions? Most complainants describe a silent hang‑up or an Indian‑accented voice claiming to be from Nationwide Building Society, often probing address details. The pattern points to a harassing impersonation scam rather than a legitimate service. Never share personal or financial information with an unsolicited caller, and always hang up before they can extract data. Register the number on your handset’s block list, report it to Ofcom’s spam‑call portal, and if you need to verify any claim, dial the official Nationwide number yourself. A few minutes of caution can stop a whole lot of nuisance.

No sound on the line
On 23/05/2020, my landline received a silent call from this number.
Unsolicited call received
I received a call from a woman with an Indian accent, purporting to be from Nationwide Building Society, who claimed to have knowledge of my address and wished to discuss my mortgage. However, I had previously received a call from another number asking me to confirm my address, supposedly from an accident management company. As someone who works in fraud investigation, I decided to provide false information to gauge her reaction. When I requested her contact details and supervisor's name, she continually talked over me before terminating the call.
This number and its variations have been calling me multiple times each day! After reading the comments here, I blocked them, so thanks for the heads up!
Recently, an individual with an Indian accent called my mobile, purporting to be from Aviva, and proceeded to ask a series of questions about my life policy, which I reported to Aviva's security department.
It's appalling that despite numerous complaints, these scammers continue to plague us with silent calls, only to reveal their true intentions when you engage with them - a blatant insurance scam. Ofcom needs to take decisive action, rather than merely paying lip service to the issue.
Over the last three days, this number has rung me multiple times. Each time I answer, there’s silence before they hang up. Recently, a woman named ‘Veronica’ from Nationwide, with an Indian accent, called. Despite never having dealt with Nationwide, she grilled me about my address. When I asked the purpose of the call, she kept interrupting, insisting she needed to confirm she was speaking to the right person first. I told her where to shove her handset, and she abruptly ended the call :p
It's rediculous, they even rang me on my viber, recognised the number as they've been calling me alot since the last 3 days, so I blocked it.
Insurance query with red flags
Two calls were made to my mobile, which I didn't answer due to the unrecognised number and lack of known contacts in Leeds; this site confirmed my suspicions, leading to the decision to block the number.
I appreciate the guidance provided by this community, which has reassured me that blocking this persistent contact is the correct course of action; it is concerning that such calls continue despite being supposedly illegal in the UK
Received a call today from this number. An Asian woman claimed to be from Nationwide, providing my name and address, which I corrected. She sought account details for security, but hung up quickly when I mentioned working in Nationwide's fraud department and investigating the number. A scam, posing risks especially to vulnerable individuals like the elderly or those with mental health issues.
It is essential to exercise caution and not answer this call, as it is likely a scam
An Asian lady rang, claiming to be from Nationwide, about my mortgage, but I dont have one, she got agressive when I questioned her and hung up
After nine calls in a single day, and without answering, I've blocked the number based on the feedback from this platform, highlighting the frustration such callers cause.
Four calls from this number came through today. Initially, I chose not to respond. On the second attempt, I answered but remained silent, leading to the caller disconnecting after a few seconds without any words exchanged. Subsequently, I blocked the number, yet it has tried to reach me two more times. With so many individuals blocking this number, it raises concerns about the potential danger of answering. Why hasn't law enforcement taken action?
