Persistently sends 'hi there' messages. Possibly linked to Done Deal. Seems like a strange or inappropriate individual.

I got the same messages as everyone else on here, the guy said he had me saved as foxy brunette, i told him my name was Paul, but i'm actualy a female, havnt heard from him sinc

After receiving a text saying 'Hello there,' I found this page while searching. As a male who doesn't use Donedeal or social media, I'm unsure how they got my number. Considering the comments, I replied suggestively to test the automated system, which seemed odd. Initially unsure, I realized it was a real person who thought I was female. His inappropriate interest made me stop finding it amusing, leaving his true intent unclear.

Received unsolicited texts, including 'hello there' and 'how are you missus', presumably related to a Donedeal ad; blocking this suspicious person

I have no idea how this person got my number, but they began sending random texts. It's best to block them.

Initially, a message was received a few months prior, but it seemed like a wrong number, then contact was cut off due to suspicion, and recently, another message was sent asking about the weekend and claiming to have met in Galway, which was creepy and will be reported to DoneDeal.

Received a text with overly familiar greetings from an unknown number. After searching online and seeing previous reports, I blocked the number immediately.

Yesterday, i recieved a message from this number claiming we met 3 weekends ago in Kilkenny, they had my number saved as foxy brunette, which is kinda creepy, especialy since i only recently had it on done deal, it's disgustin that peoples can't even post ad's without bein harassed

Received a strange text claiming we met in Galway. When I denied knowing him, he mentioned searching for a brunette. I immediately blocked the number!

Received a text saying 'Hello there.' Claimed we met in Galway and mentioned being from Moynalty in Meath. Continued messaging despite no response. Blocked the number. Suspect they're targeting online ads to contact women—seems predatory and unsettling.

This number sent a 'Hello there' text after I posted an ad on the Evening Echo free ads. It seems to be from Cork. If your Facebook account is linked to your number, be aware they might use your profile picture to describe you.

Interestingly, I had a similiar experiance, got a text from this guy claiming we met in Galway, but I havent been there in 10 years, the person claims his name is James but his facebook name is Jay, and he wont stop texting me

After receiving multiple texts from an individual claiming to be 'James', yet having a voicemail stating 'Johnny', it was clear this was suspicious; blocking this number is advised, especially for Donedeal users.

This morning, a stranger texted claiming we met at a party. Searched the number online and discovered these alarming posts! Clearly obtained my details from Done Deal. Is there any place left that's truly safe????

Got a text from this number this moring, asking how I was, had just posted an ad on donedeal yesterday, looked them up on facebook, and it was Jay Smith, a friend told me about this page, now I'm really uncomftable

I've been getting texts from this number since yesterday. The sender, claiming to be James from Dublin, said we met over the weekend. He asked if I was a 'foxy female' and when I mentioned I was in a relationship, he insisted I was teasing him because he's 'a very handsome guy!' I had recently posted items for sale on DoneDeal. It's sad that some people have nothing better to do than harass others.

Multiple women have reported being harassed by 'James' after he obtained their numbers from Done Deal, sending persistent and false claims of meeting them
