Ekspertvurdering
Earlier today, a sudden call from +35317714479 left several people uneasy. Most recipients described the caller as claiming to represent AIB and demanding personal or card details before revealing any purpose. The pattern of refusing identification and insisting on security questions is a classic red flag for phishing. Always confirm the caller’s identity by hanging up and dialing the official bank number from a trusted source. Never share sensitive information over unsolicited calls, and consider reporting persistent or threatening calls to the national consumer protection agency. Using call‑blocking tools and keeping a log of suspicious numbers can further reduce risk.

Got three consecutive calls that weren't answered. The caller is quite persistent.
I got three back‑to‑back calls from a woman asking for my AIB card number; she even mentioned my recent transaction, and I foolishly gave my name and address. When I called back, a lady said she was from AIB and warned me not to share details.
Several calls came from this number; each time I picked up, the line was disconnected, and a callback prompted me for my 16‑digit card number. Definitely a red flag, so I blocked the number and observed occasional call attempts in the log.

Unfavorable.
An automated call greets with 'Welcome to card services', then asks for a 16‑digit card number—clearly a credit card phishing attempt. Block the number and report it; no further details on the organization were given.
Honestly think it’s a scam—I hung up when they answered and tried calling back for card info, dude.
After receiving a call from this number claiming to be AIB, they correctly confirmed my name and discussed data protection. I offered to call back via a trusted AIB number, which they agreed to. Checking online, AIB's official Twitter confirmed this number as part of their card services. I contacted the number on my card, explained the situation, and after checks, they confirmed it was a legitimate call about a missed credit card bill.
