Hurray, we've scored a getaway trip. Boo hoo. :-(

They informed me I'd scored a free trip voucher, requiring a visit at a set time, and requested details like my age and job. I declined. The call had loud background noise; the outfit's named QVC, located in Mooikloof, Pretoria - that's what they shared. Later, an SMS arrived with a ref code and coords for pickup. I brushed it off, yet the calls persist to this day.. the

Super rude and clearly a scam.

A woman called claiming I'd won a complimentary resort stay in Hartebeespoort Dam. Her accent made the company name indistinct, but when I questioned how she obtained my details, she mentioned possible nomination by friends, family, or coworkers. Truth is, I barely have two friends who would do that, my relatives aren't into such gestures, and my work-from-home colleagues hardly know me. That's how I realized she was full of nonsense.
