Expert Opinion
If you get a call from +27102500000 asking for your ID or banking details, hang up immediately. The number is widely reported as a phishing scam that pretends to be Standard Bank, sometimes even mentioning loans or credit cards you don’t have. Don’t call back – the line is often dead or just a trap to confirm your number is active. Block the caller, report it to your actual bank and to your mobile provider, and consider adding the number to a spam‑blocking app. Always verify any request by contacting the bank through official channels, not the caller’s number.

Fraudulent calls incoming.
Pretend to represent Standard Bank, Capitec Bank, MiWay Insurance, with access to financial insiders tracking my daily balances. Smooth operators, highly skilled, won't slip up even when challenged. Flaw is no call log—multiple agents ring without knowing prior contacts, plus a fake verification center. HIGHLY DANGEROUS crooks.

Highly Risky. Fraudulent calls mixing facts with falsehoods via phone. Uses the same line to impersonate African Bank, MiWay Insurance, First National Bank; an internal source provides your account balance and payment details/situation. Aimed at me due to exceeding limit, they prey on susceptible customers through intimidation. The ring to me begins with 'Standard Bank here, Your ID's initial six digits are XYXYXX, verify the remaining ones.' They even share the real bank contact center number, so when they call again with valid info, you'll believe it's genuine. Expert and smooth operators who deny being fraudsters. I forwarded 3 decoy files (WORD, Excel, PDF traps) to their provided email to trace IP. The inbox isn't managed by them or Standard Bank. The bank would have activated the traps.

From Standard Bank, received a valid call about my home loan application. Believe it's a shared outbound line for various call centers.
Ucingo lwe-scam luyingozi kakhulu, ngiyadabuka ngalokhu.
Received a silent call; the caller hangs up, leaves no voicemail, and has been harassing me at least four times daily since 17 January 2023 – blocked it but they won't quit, bro.
Someone calling for Standard Bank to confirm details, claiming it's about a loan. They had no business contacting me or mentioning they know the first four digits of my ID number for verification. Total fraud!! Never give out information. Alert your bank about the scam. Standard Bank verified it's a fraudulent contact attempt.
Ukushaya ucingo okungenamsebenzi kuyaphazamisa, ngiyakwazi ukungawuthandi.

Claimed to be from Standard Bank with a smooth-talking male voice asking for my ID. It turned out to be a scam after I Googled the number. No response if you ring back.
A woman claimed to represent Standard Bank and requested my ID details. As I began sharing, it felt off, so I suggested she redial due to poor connection. Later searched the number and discovered this page.
Folks from Standard Bank card unit keep ringing, demanding my details; I withhold them and they disconnect. Thirty minutes on, they try again and hang up immediately—I’m not even their customer.
Contacting for a claim from Standard Bank
Just another random call with no clear purpose.
According to the voice, she represented the card division of Standard Bank
Got hit up five times in a single day, man.
This is total rubbish.
Five consecutive calls were placed.
Random call with no clear reason; it was just annoying.
The Standard Bank Card Division requested my ID details (first six characters). When they couldn’t verify the target, they just hung up, proving the line was live.
I got a random call that didn't fit any specific category. It was just a nuisance.
