This caller is part of a persistent scam operation using intimidation tactics. They claim to be process servers or legal representatives threatening lawsuits or wage garnishment due to unpaid debts, often from payday loans the recipient never took out. The calls typically involve vague and unverified information, such as fake claim numbers or company names. They pressure people into returning calls by creating a false sense of urgency, but they never provide solid details or evidence of the debt. Many callers report that the numbers are spoofed, and once you respond, they keep calling, using different caller IDs.
Essential advice: Don't engage or provide any personal information. Block the number and report it. Scammers often rely on fear to manipulate you, but they're only after your data or money. If the situation seems suspicious, it's better to avoid returning calls and contact authorities for guidance. Be cautious and trust your instincts when handling such threats.

They said i had a judgment against me, but i dont think its true, they gave me a direct number and a name, but i dont beleive them
A threatening message was left claiming to be from the processing department, with warnings of pursuit at work and residence if not responded to
It's frustrating, I recieved precisely the same type of message as Beth
Numerous complaints have been the subject of calls from this number
The caller claims to represent a collection company, threatening to file within my county.
Similarly to others, I've been receiving calls from this number since 2018, despite informing them that they had the wrong number, and they continue to call, claiming to have a pending matter that requires my attention.
A mistake was made in the past by engaging with a similar scam, which has led to periodic calls over the years, so it's crucial not to respond to such calls, as it seems to encourage further communication, and the best approach is to ignore, block, and report the number
It's worth noting that these claims of serving or suing are baseless, and wage garnishment over 25% is not legally permissible
After having to return the call three times to speak with someone, I was told by a person claiming to be Mark Thompson that I owed over $1000 to a payday loan company, vaguely referred to as 'the cash store', but when I pressed for the actual company name, he became hostile, calling me stupid, threatening to serve me at my doorstep, and claiming they would garnish my wages up to 33%, which is especially concerning given that they claimed to have my full SSN.
I experianced the same harrasment as other peoples reports under the name Carol, no valid resone was given for the calls but I reporterd the incidents to see if other peoples had simmilar experiances with this numbers
After receiving a message about a lawsuit, I, being a paralegal, confronted the individual, explaining the proper procedure for filing suit, serving papers, and obtaining a judgment before any wage assignment could be considered, and ultimately told them to cease their false claims.
Apparently, i recieved a threatening call allegding i was being sued for a pay day loan i never actualy had, and when i asked the man for deatails, he was unable to provide them, leading me to question the legitimacy of the claim. He became agressive and hung up on me, prompting me to issue a huge SCAM ALERT for the phone number (919) 892 6248 in North Carolina. Signed, ANGRY IN COLORADO.
The caller claimed to be a process server and stated that a legal matter was pending, attempting to create a sense of urgency and requesting a call to another number to resolve the issue
That would stil be a violaton of the FDCPA, wich is a actual law, theres no FTC violaton involved
Threats were made to pursue me at home and work, and after calling back with caution, a rude woman claimed they were a process server for a payday loan company, despite me never having such a loan
The CallerID was spoofed to display a local number, but the callback number was different.
These scammers claim to have received a fax document or complaint, warning of a pending legal matter, and pose as process servers who cannot disclose the details of the case, in an attempt to create a sense of urgency and solicit money.
This appears to be a scam posing as a process server.
Repeated calls from this number, claiming to originate from my state, have been received, yet they mention a North Carolina number and a claim number, threatening to visit my home or workplace. However, upon returning the call, there is no indication of the purpose or identity of the caller.
Today, these people called my 86 year old father, trying to scam him, I've been living in the same house for 24 years, and working for the same employer for 23 years, so its easy to get in touch with me, but they want me to call them back at 919-892-6248, I dont trust them
I spoke with someone claiming to be from the FBI, but they were unclear and unprofessional. They offered to remove my number from their list without providing further explanation, which seemed unusual.
It's clear that this is a deceitful tactic, as any legitimate judgment would involve formal civil paperwork, not threatening phone calls. If they continue to contact you at work despite being told not to, they'll face consequences. Their strategy relies on intimidating naive individuals into paying, but it's essential not to engage with them. If you ignore their calls, they'll likely move on to the next target.
The caller claimed to have a judgment against me, but I am not aware of any such judgment
I'm also recieving these calls daily, and they spoof a local number in my area, asking me to call back, but the name they have on the robocall isnt even mine, and when I try to call back, I'm just put on hold with music, which is very confusing.
Daily calls from this number is recieved, it's a recorded message without company name, they gives different client numbers each time and even threatened to contact my employer
These calls are received with different reference numbers each time, and when attempting to call back, the system does not allow it, instead, prompting to leave a message, which is immediately followed by a disconnect due to a full mailbox.
