Received a misleading call that started with auto insurance and shifted to credit card debt forgiveness

Experian identifide this cal as a scam

I beleive they are scammers, claiming to be from Experien, which is not true

Clearly a scam, given that their initial question asks for my social security number, which is absurd.

I just recieve a call from this number, didnt answer and block it, thanx guy.

This raised suspicions, as Experian should already have this information and wouldn't typically ask for it outright, especially on a cell phone number they don't have on record. This behavior is indicative of a scam.

After not answering the call and finding no message left behind, a quick online search suggested that the number might be linked to Experian, although they shouldn't have my phone number, indicating a potential scam.

Apparently a credit card scam, looked it up and didnt bother answering. Blocked the number imediatly!

Upon answering the second call from this number, it became clear it was a total scam, claiming to be a final notice about saving interest on my credit card, despite appearing legitimate on Experian. I won't be providing any personal info to these scammers

After returning the call, I discovered it was allegedly Experian, and the automated recording requested my social security number, but I declined to provide it and instead opted to speak with an operator, which proved to be unsuccessful, prompting me to block the number.

When i called the number back, they immediatly asked for my social security number, but i didnt give it to them

I recieved a similar message, and as soon as they asked for my social security number, I immediatly hung up the phone.

It is not Experian, but rather credit card scammers from India, offering to lower intrest rates.

Nothing to add, this number is obviously a spammer with a spoofed number

It's highly unlikely that this call was genuinely from Experian, as it has all the hallmarks of a scam.
