Szakértői vélemény
Oddly enough, the same 888‑373‑1969 digits keep popping up linked to a so‑called Chase call, yet the bank repeatedly confirms the line isn’t theirs. This pattern points to classic phone‑number spoofing, where scammers borrow trusted brand names to harvest personal data. If you receive an unexpected call claiming to be from Chase, hang up and call the official number on the back of your card or on Chase’s website. Never share account numbers, PINs, or verification codes over the phone. Keep a record of the call details and report the incident to Chase’s fraud department and to the FTC.

Earlier, I had initiated a call regarding a notice and was informed of a wait time exceeding one hour, after which I was placed in a callback queue. Within 10 minutes, someone returned my call, but their demeanor was unfriendly, unlike the typical courtesy shown by CHASE representatives. They requested my account number and the purpose of my call, followed by my date of birth and details of my last transaction. I was then put on hold again while they investigated the reason behind a letter I received about an account closure. The hold music was also uncharacteristic of CHASE's usual recordings. This irregularity prompted me to look up the number online, where I discovered it was linked to scam calls, leading me to terminate the call.
