This companys a total scam. They dig up old debt records online & terrorize u with calls & threats. Original company doesnt get the $$, its just written off. Tell them to send u a summons & they'll back off. Otherwise, get Truecaller & Truemessenger to block them.
Got 2 diff msgs about repayin some Maravedi acc. Same amount, diff payment methods (fnb & easypay), & diff ref nos. Both came in before 12:30. Ive checked my bank acc, nothings been taken... yet.

This is definity a scam. I dont even have a TV liscense and the number they're using is a new one I just got for personal use. Only my family has this number. They're calling from +27 883 930 060 680 024 which is not a real number. They tell you to call 087 825 0600 and say you're next in line, but then they just stop talking.
A law firm has been acused of collecting debts from people who dont owe them. They call this the 'Unifer Loan Book' and its a collection of debts from Absa Bank and other companys. Absa appointed Maravedi Credit Solutions to collect these debts, but its not clear if they have the right to do so.
Sick of these SSD calls - always at midnite. The reference they gave doesnt make sence (700010010012238). Spoke to Mr Moloi today and told him they'll be reported to the Ombudman. If they want to send someone to my place, I'll make sure they get charged. This guy's debt is almost R6000 - crazy! Nice to see others are having the same issue, its time for them to stop this.

This sounds like a scam operation to me. You should contact your bank and show them the sms. If it's your info they have, they can take steps to protect you and your account.
