Initially, my mother informed me that Bank of America had contacted her regarding a problematic check. Upon calling the provided number, I was told that the original caller, Michelle Black, was unavailable, and instead, I spoke with Aaron Shwarts. He alleged that I had taken out a payday loan with Cash Net USA during my time as a Bank of America customer, and since my account was closed before they received payment, I was being accused of various types of fraud. To resolve this issue, I was asked to pay $335. When I explained that I couldn't afford it, I was placed on hold and then told that a minimum payment of $100 was required. After further negotiation, I was told that the issue had been temporarily resolved, and all that was needed was a credit card number for their records. I expressed hesitation and was advised that I could use anyone's card. At this point, I decided to end the call and research the number, which led me to this site.
Upon investigating a message from my mother about a Bank of America call, I was told by a representative that I'm being charged with various forms of fraud due to an alleged unresolved payday loan issue, and that paying $335 would resolve the matter.
Upon receiving a call at work about a bad check to Bank of America, I returned the call with their reference number and emphasized that I was recording the conversation, also stating that future communications should be via USPS and that their approach was a violation of my rights.

Following a voice message from Dale Kelner regarding a Court Summons for several charges, including a bad check, I discovered a discrepancy; I do not write checks and he failed to provide his office information. Moreover, a collection agency named Accounts Receivable contacted me, claiming I owed Bank of America $326, while I only owe $126, which I have been disputing for months. After negotiating, they reduced the amount to $131, and I informed the representative I would call back to make the payment. It appears they will attempt any means to collect debt. I intend to save the message and report them to the BBB for FDCPA violations.
