Upon checking my office voicemail on Thursday, Jan 1, 2009, I found a message from a female claiming to represent 'Barkley's', although they didnt specify what kind of company it is. Unfortunately, I didint respond to the call and instead opted to perform a reverse lookup, which led me to this forum.

Caution: these repeated calls are almost certainly debt‑collection attempts tied to Barclays (often listed as Juniper Bank). The callers rarely identify themselves, pressure for Social Security or account numbers, and refuse to cease contact even after requests. Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act you have the right to request a written validation notice and to tell them to stop calling. Hang up before providing any personal data, block the number, and add it to the Do Not Call registry. Report persistent harassment to the FTC or your state attorney general, and consider a call‑blocking app for extra protection.

I received a call from this number, demanding payment of a bill, but upon contacting the bank, Frontier Mastercard, they informed me that the calls were not legitimate, and I have received approximately 12 calls in the past few days
Although I have an account with this bank through my credit card, the caller ID displayed 'Thompson', which has no affiliation with Juniper, indicating a potential scam, and as a lawyer, I am aware that action can only be taken if fraud or misuse of my Social Security number can be proven.
I got a new phone number two weekes ago, and since then i've recived multiple calls from this number, they are looking for somone i dont know, they want me to send them a letter stating that i'm not the person they are looking for
Although Juniper Bank is legitimate, this particular number is not associated with their customer service, which typically uses 877 numbers. I can confirm this as I have an account with them.
These peopel are totaly bogus, I got the same message and when I called them back, they asked for my social secuity number, wich is clearley a fradulent activty. Does anyone know where to report this kind of incidences?
A message prompted me to call a reference number regarding a supposed issue with my credit card, but the automated system's request for my social security number raised suspicions
A message was left at my husband's workplace regarding a personal banking matter, which has raised concerns about the nature of the call.
Upon receiving a message from an individual claiming to be 'Verby' associated with US Airways, it became apparent that the call was suspicious. The message stated she was searching for someone at our manufacturing plant, but the name provided did not match anyone employed there. When attempting to clarify the situation by calling the number 866-408-4070 provided, the automated system repeatedly requested personal identification information, which was not disclosed. After navigating through the automated prompts, a representative was eventually reached, and upon requesting to speak with 'Verby', it was revealed that no one by that name was recognized. The encounter was perplexing, to say the least.
This number is owed by Juniper Bank, aparently.
