Following the activation of my Chase debit card, I received a voicemail from this number claiming to be from Marilyn at Chase Bank. She expressed a desire to welcome me to the bank and discuss financial matters. After researching the number and comparing it to Chase Bank's official customer service numbers, I concluded that the call was fraudulent. It is unusual for a bank to send a representative to discuss financials with a new customer.

Apparently, somebody called asking me if he could talk to me about the new accounts that were just opened up connected to my checking account, but firstly I hade to check if it was legit, he knew the last 4 of my checking account number, but I have not opened up any new accounts anywhere, so I told him no, that I was at work and I hunged up

The caller introduced himself as a Chase representative, inquired about car shopping, and asked to verify my Gmail account, which raised suspicions since Chase should have this information.

Following the call I recieved, it appeard to be legitamate but the extention seemed extreemly long, I opted to wait for a voicemail instead of ansering, additionally I recieved an email from a branch in Chicago, contacted my chase card and they confirmed it was a scam, be carefull everyone they are getting sofisticated.
