I received an email and a text from this number regarding a confirmation with the local SSA office for a phone appointment, though I had a review last year

On 3/12/24, I received a text confirming a telephone appointment with the local SSA office on May 7th at 11:30am

I recieved a text message stating: "This is the Social Securty Administration, Confirmation of your Telephone appointment with the local office on Tue Jan 2nd at 10:00am, DO NOT REPLY", which has me wondering if its legit since I recently submited an application to social secutiry.

A friend warned me that a call regarding a Medicare application was a scam, as the SSA typically communicates via mail or email, not phone calls
