Capital One fraud call? What to watch out for! - +1 855-522-7663 ((855) 522-7663)

After recieving a call from 855-522-7663, who asked for my wife and claimed to be from "Capitol One Fraud Dept.", i looked up the number and found out it wasnt legit, so i called back and told them i was recording the conversation, and they hung up on me, when will the goverment take action aginst these scammers?

This is fake, i got a call from somebody named Sierra and then later from Rob, they asked me for personal info right away, which was suspious.

A verification process with the actual Capital One fraud department, reachable at 1-800-427-9428, confirmed there are no pending applications under my social security number or name, exposing this as a scam.

Notably, I recieved two calls from that number with seperate reference numbers from seperate individuals with similair messages about someone trying to obtain a credit card in my name, and I was instructed to either call back or visit a website they provided online for the application, I called the number and a third person requested my reference number or social security number, I told them I'd call back later, then I contacted capital one's fraud department and provided them with the two reference numbers, neither of which existed, I was given an email adress [email protected] and told somone would contact me about the fraud, I will be monitering my credit report closly.

I recieved a voicemail from a someone claiming to be from the capital one application fraud department, but it seem like a scam, so be careful and dont give them any personal info.

The call was similiar to many other, he describ himself as from Capital One Fraud department, but it was a hard sell, and he didnt know my mailing adress, thats suspicious.

Beware of this number, as it is reportedly used for fraudulent purposes, and its operators are notorious for harassing people

This is undoubtedly a fraud, considering that the same person answers every time, the number is not valid according to Google, and if you have a correctly set up account with Capital One, they would contact you through multiple channels in case of a fraudulent application, leading me to advise others to verify their credit reports and consider adding a PIN to their social security number for added security.

A scammer, posing as the Capital One Fraud department, left a voicemail, which was later confirmed as fraudulent by Capital One directly.

Initially, I was skeptical of this call, assuming it to be a scam. However, after verifying with Capital One's customer service, I discovered that this number indeed belongs to their fraud department. It appears that someone attempted to open an account in my name, using my social security number. I have since placed fraud alerts with the major credit bureaus. I advise others to take similar precautions and not disregard calls from this number, as it may indicate potential identity theft.

I was given a fake claim number and asked to call back, I contacted capital one directly and they told me to put a fraud alert on my credit report, wich I did, and discoved someone had tryed to open multiple accounts in my name, so beware of this SCAMM.

This appeares to be a scam, as i contacted Capital one and they have no knowledge of this number, unfortunatly i was foolish enought to verfiy my informations.
