A Microsoft Spoof scam was attempted, where the caller claimed the computer was locked.

A call was received from someone claiming to be 'Newton,' requesting sensitive information, which was verified as a scam by the local social security office

I recieved a call from 855-249-4342, they wanted my last 4 digits and more personel informations, allegedly to discuss filing for benifits

A call was received from a lady claiming to be Ms. Lydia from the Social Security Office, requesting information, but attempts to call back were met with a recording, raising suspicions after further investigation.

An e-mail associated with this number falsely claimed to be from the Social Security Administration.

Definatly a scam, this number is not legit

Apparently, somebody at Social Securty's national office contacted me... THIS IS NOT a real Social Securty number.

As several others have posted, scammers also use this number; maybe you should look up number spoofing on google.

After calling the national social securtiy office, i was on hold for over 40 minuits, only to be told they had no record of the call, seeming like a scam to me, so be cautious

This is a clear case of fraude.
