Opinione dell’esperto
Numbers like 855‑249‑4340 repeatedly surface in threads where callers claim to be from the Social Security Administration, yet opinions split between legit workload‑support units and outright fraud. Spoofing of official IDs is common, so treat any unsolicited call as suspect until you independently verify the source. Start by hanging up and dialing the known SSA 1‑800‑772‑1213 line yourself. Never share your Social Security number or banking details until you’ve confirmed the caller’s identity through official channels. Keep records of dates, names, and extensions; report suspicious activity to the FTC and SSA fraud hotlines.
