Opinia expertului
Bottom line: these calls are a classic impersonation scam that pretends to be a civil‑dispatch or process‑server office to pressure victims into payment demand a bogus settlement. The callers create urgency, claim legal action, and often cite a toll‑free number that’s been spoofed. Never share personal or financial details, and don’t send money to unverified parties. Hang up, block the number, and verify any alleged lawsuit by contacting the actual court or agency directly. Report the incident to the FTC, your state attorney general, and the FCC, and keep a log of the call for future reference.
