Yesterday afternoon, a wave of messages from 833‑684‑0624 landed in many inboxes, claiming a new note in the MySocialSecurity Message Center. The texts mimic the look of official SSA communications and include a link to https://secure.ssa.gov/RIL, but the number is not owned by the Social Security Administration. Recipients should treat any unsolicited link as phishing and never enter personal data. Verify alerts by logging directly onto www.ssa.gov or calling the official SSA helpline. Block the sender, report the incident to the FTC and to SSA’s fraud‑prevention team, and educate friends about the personal data risk.

The caller claimed to be from Social Security, stating I had a message, but upon checking my online account, there was nothing, leading me to block the number.
No message was left, which is unusual and raises suspicions.
Same thing happend to me, there was a message waiting, however, i recieved a second text from them, signed into SSI and there wasnt a message waiting, becarefull, this is probaly a scam.
I verified that this message is indeed legitimate from the SSA, as it matched a message in my SSA account, and I will continue to receive messages from them

It appears this is a spam or scam message, and responding may compromise your information
I didnt use the link in the text, instead i went to the SSA website through my secure browser, and there were no messages like the text said, so i went back to the text and clicked the link, and OMG it takes me to a site that looks exactly like the real SSA, definately a scam.
This person is a Soc security scammer.
I verified that this is a scam by checking my SSA account and found no such message.
I was sent a suspicious text message claiming to be from mySocialSecurity, but I did not open it, as it appeared to be a fraudulent attempt to obtain my information.
This appears to be another instance of harassment from the same individual.
