Yesterday afternoon, a wave of messages from 833‑684‑0624 landed in many inboxes, claiming a new note in the MySocialSecurity Message Center. The texts mimic the look of official SSA communications and include a link to https://secure.ssa.gov/RIL, but the number is not owned by the Social Security Administration. Recipients should treat any unsolicited link as phishing and never enter personal data. Verify alerts by logging directly onto www.ssa.gov or calling the official SSA helpline. Block the sender, report the incident to the FTC and to SSA’s fraud‑prevention team, and educate friends about the personal data risk.

The communication from this number was via text message.
Across various inquiries, this number is consistently flagged as a scam, often related to social security, yet despite numerous complaints, the harassment persists.
On 11/23/2020 i got a text from this number claiming to be from the social security administration, but my prefrences are to be emailed, not texted, and when i called the number the next day, it wasnt in service
I wish there was a way to remove such nuisance calls from phone listings entirely.
It's a scam, plainly obvious, these individuals should be prosecuted for fraude, no doubt about it.
A suspicious text was sent, directing me to a supposedly secure website related to the SSA.

A text was sent to go online to ssa.gov, which seem suspicious
After investigating, I found that the call was from the SSA, informing me of a cost-of-living raise, which was welcome news

I beleive this is a sophisticated scam, i tryed to call the number but it didnt exist

Thankfully, I found this post and was able to verify that I'm not signed up for SSA text notifications.
When I logged in to my SSA account, there was no message, so this might not be legit, as someone else mentioned

Sombody texted me a message from this number, asking me to open a message from Social Security, wich seems suspisious
On Sunday afternoon, I received a text message at around 1:50 pm PST.
I recieved a mesage on my cell number, 815 644 2849, on 11/22/2020, stating I have a new mesage in my socail message center, and to log in at https;//secure.gov/RL to read it, I didnt do it, and thats all.
A message allegedly from the SSA was sent via text.
The message on my phone said somethin about social security, sounded like a scam
I got a test message saying i have a new message at mySocialSecurity, but i dont think it's legit
