Fidelity Investments scam call? Spot the red flags! - +1 801-401-1001 ((801) 401-1001)

For five years, my address has remained unchanged, yet I received a voice message requesting a callback regarding an address change, which I have yet to return.

This number called twice consecutively, and I allowed voicemail to answer, with the caller claiming to be from Fidelity, needing to discuss an account in my deceased brother-in-law's name, which has been inactive for 9 years, and requesting a return call to reregister the account

The call seemed official but asked for name verification, which was provided, potentially allowing for fraudulent voice use.

Someone called and asked for a person named Jennifer, but i told them they had the rong number.

While engaged in business with Fidelity, I received an unexpected call from this number, leaving me questioning its authenticity and whether it was a genuine call or a scam.

The caller tricked me into agreeing to receive an email, but I quickly realized my mistake and called the number back, only to find that it didn't disclose the company name and requested my Social Security number, which I refused to provide.

Verification of an account was requested, requiring the provision of a social security number and date of birth.

They texted me pretending to be from Fidelity, saying changes made to my account

Literally, it's a scam, investmen companies dont call you out of the blue, thats just not how it work's.

Thanks to the Smart Call Blocker, I was spared from answering three attempted calls today.

A caller stated that my social security number had been used in Texas and instructed me to call 801-401-100, then abruptly hung up.

After declining to answer the call, I called the number back and was met with an automated system requesting my SSN and Fidelity Account Login Password, which seemed like a scam

It's clearly a scam; I contacted my Fidelity representative, who confirmed that although they have offices in SLC, this number is not associated with them. Upon calling the number back, I noticed the message sounded similar to my Texas representative.
