Opinia expertului
Like a persistent door‑to‑door salesman, the calls from +18009888019 show up day after day, demanding credit‑card numbers and Social Security details while pretending to be Wells Fargo. Never share personal or financial information unless you’ve initiated the contact through a verified channel. Use your phone’s block feature, add the number to the Do‑Not‑Call registry, and file a complaint with the FCC. If you’re unsure, hang up and call the official Wells Fargo customer service line you find on their website to confirm any request. Keep a log of call times and scripts—it helps when reporting scams.

A call was received from my ex, claiming to be from Wells Fargo credit card, on 1-9-2017, using the number 800 988 8019. When I asked my ex about the caller ID, I decided to call the number back. A person with a heavy Indian accent attempted to convince me that I was delinquent on my account, but I struggled to understand and requested to speak with someone in the US or with a lighter accent. Instead, I was redirected to the initial recording. I ended the call and contacted four local branches, but none answered. The next day, I visited a branch and spoke with the manager, who took my information and looked into my account. Fortunately, no issues were found, and I was advised to be cautious with such calls.

A call supposedly from John Stumpf, eerily similar to the name of a former Wells Fargo CEO, was confirmed with WF to not be part of their network, revealing it as a scam, and raising concerns about the legitimacy of reviews that resort to derogatory language.
The fact that this number consistently calls without leaving a message raises suspicions, and since legitimate businesses typically leave messages, this behavior is a warning sign - I'll be contacting my provider to block the number
Despite having no account or loan with Wells Fargo, numerous calls have been received from this number, all without leaving a voicemail.
Apparently, once the loan is paid, the calls will cease, leaving the callers at a loss for what to do next
The pattern of calls from this number is repetitive, with calls being made within minutes of each other, but no messages are ever left, and the calls are often marked as unavailable.
Having received a call from this number, I found it peculiar as I have no prior business dealings with the aforementioned bank, making me question the legitimacy of the call and the intelligence of the caller.

I received a legitimate call from Wells Fargo, which was actually helpful since I had forgotten to make a payment, and I'm glad I checked this site first to confirm it was them.
