This is definatly not RBC, probably a telemarketer or someone fishing for informations.

Apparently, telemarketers belive they can leave messages about specifc services, which is simply not acurate. They oftentimes call repeatadly, even after requesting to be removed from their list, and such pratices are considdered outdated and agressive.

Apparently, RBC has a policy of not leaving messages due to privacy concerns with your banking, or so they claim. As an RBC customer, you can expect two kinds of calls - first, where something went wrong and you owe them money, and they leave detailed messages, or secondly, where they want to sell you something, and no message is left, it seems.

After answering their call, the representative updated my account information, but they continue to call me despite my lack of interest in answering

RBC should stop this, i thought they had more morals, they dont want to harass theyre customers

I receive two daily calls from this number, which I mistook for a call from the Royal Bank of Canada due to the RBC display, but that is not their standard identification.

Despite never having been an RBC customer, I started receiving calls from this number on the same day my Bell Canada landline was connected, before anyone else knew my unlisted number. After subscribing to Bell Canada's call screening service, a representative confirmed that this number cannot be screened. Upon contacting RBC's Client Care Centre, a polite representative apologized and informed me that it may take up to 90 days to remove my number from their calling list. The connection between Bell Canada and RBC is puzzling, and it is unclear why they employ such methods to compete for customers.
