Expert Opinion
A quick glance at recent reports shows a flood of complaints linking the 800‑690‑3613 number to fraudulent ADT‑related calls. Callers claim to be ADT agents urging contract renewals or discounts, but legitimate ADT never initiates unsolicited negotiations. Protect yourself by refusing to share personal data, hanging up on unexpected offers, and confirming any request directly through official ADT channels. Block the number on your device, log the incident with the FTC, and consider a scam reporting service. Staying skeptical and verifying independently are the best defenses against these ADT impersonation schemes.
