The script usually cites a recent order, an inflated price, and an urgent request to press a key. Even if you have no Amazon purchases, the scammers rely on the brand’s familiarity to create panic. Hang up immediately, block the number, and never share card numbers or passwords over the phone. Verify any alleged issue by logging into your Amazon account directly or contacting official support through the app. Report the number to your carrier and to the FTC to help curb the phishing scam and protect others.
Initially appeard as a medical supply number, however when called back it was a different number claiming to be about medical insurance benifits.
Following two calls from this number, which my blocking service immediately terminated after the first ring, I investigated further and found the same information posted by 'Me Again!' on May 8th.
I just recived the same phone call, and I dont even have an Amazon account, it's pretty confuseing.
The caller claimed my Amazon account had been frozen, which was a lie.
A robocall was received on the landline from someone claiming to be Daniel from Amazon customer service, stating that there was suspicious activity on the account and requesting to press one or two to report. However, the call was lost after pressing one, and it's suspected that the call was a phishing attempt.
