Upon receiving a 1099-c form with an unfamiliar card number for $836 from Synchrony Bank, I was left confused and have since initiated a case with my Credit monitoring service to resolve this potential case of unfair business practices
We should report them to the IRS and sue them, they are the most usless agency, but its worth a try.

Although I haven't received a call, I did get two letters from Synchrony Bank stating that credits were being made to a Walmart Core card, which I don't possess. The letters included the last four digits of an unfamiliar card. When I called the number listed, I was informed that it was an attempt to collect a debt.
