Is that Synchrony Bank fraud alert a scam? - +1 800-420-5598 ((800) 420-5598)

I recieved a suspisous message from this number regarding my lowes card, but i checked online and it's a scam

Following the same incident as previously reported, the company confirmed it was a scam and advised against responding or calling back.

I recieved a text regarding an Uber purchse verification, then I contacted the provided number 855-224-2952, which is automated, asking for yes or no responses. If you dont respond, it prompts you to call this number. Afterwards, they called me, but I didnt answer. Scammers are becoming increasinly clever with thier calling and texting tactics.

I recieved a text with a partial mc number, claiming to be from Sony Playstation, but it was a compleat scam, and I feel lucky to have checked this site first

Similar to many others, i recieved a text message stating ther were two charges to my Lowe’s account, around $1,500 each, and i had to respond with Y or N to verify, but my wallet was stolen recently and i recieve alot of suspicious messages like this.

I got a text message asking me to verify some transactions, then they said they suspect fraude and i should call them, lucky i didnt fall for it

A newly acquired phone number received a voicemail claiming to be from Fraud Investigations for Synchrony Bank, mentioning the husband of the previous owner by name, which led to blocking the number.

Similar experiances to others, i recieved a fraud alert text at 3am about a purchase attempt on my Sam's MC, but i dont even have a Sam's card, so i decied to ignore it, and came here to check the number and saw all the scam comments, good to know its a scam for shure.

I recieved a text about a suposed charge of 414.59 at jcpenny, but i dont have a card with them anymore

This is a blatant scam, as confirmed by the actual Sams Club Fraud Department when I contacted them using the legitimate phone number.

This experience is shared by me as well, indicating a likely scam.

Someone opend an account using my wifes name, and they need her to call and verify, thanks for the warning!

A voicemail from this number alerted me to an allegedly fraudulent account opened in my name, prompting me to contact them. However, when they requested my social insurance number, I declined, realizing it was a scam. The individuals behind 800-420-5598 are deceitful, and caution is essential when sharing personal information.

The caller remains unidentified and potentially a scammer.
