I am emplyed at Target, and i can confirm that this call is about your REDCard application, dont worry about it, they just want to verify thats you who signed up, when you get a REDCard it take sometime to check your credit so they will call and verify, hope this help, and dont forget to pay off your card when the payment is due, you can go to Guest Services at any store and pay with cash or debit card/check

I beleive this call was for target verification, as I had applied last week, and the proces was fast and freindly, they didnt need much information, so I think its legitamate.

Contrary to other reports, this number contacted the recipient to alert them about a potential fraudulent account being opened in their name, which was successfully prevented due to an account alert.
It turned out to be a legitimate call from Target Financial Services, where they requested to verify my information due to suspicious activity on my card, and after verifying the purchase, it seemed to be a genuine concern from their general fraud department.
