Expert Opinion
Repeated calls from the same number suggest a pattern of outreach that many recipients find intrusive. Callers claiming to represent Southwest Credit Systems often cite unpaid tolls or debt collection, yet they typically provide few details and pressure you for personal verification. Protect yourself by refusing to share address, license‑plate, or financial information until you receive a written demand that includes the original creditor’s name, account number, and a clear explanation of the alleged debt. Report persistent harassment to the FTC and your state’s consumer protection agency, and consider using call‑blocking tools or a reputable "do not call" registry. Document each interaction and track dates for potential disputes.

Due to the frequent daily calls from this number, a request was made to speak with my husband, but the caller refused to disclose the purpose of the call unless the address was confirmed, and even after confirmation, the caller claimed it was not the address on file, leading to a request to confirm a license plate for a vehicle no longer owned, which raised suspicions of a scam.
The caller left no message after dialing my cell number.
Given that I have never been contacted by a toll tag authority for non-payment and all my toll payments are automatically deducted from my registered credit cards, it is likely that this is a debt collection agency with questionable ethics.
During the call, the representative claimed to be working for an agency responsible for collecting outstanding toll balances on behalf of the state, citing that their company, Southwest Credit Solutions, took over the collections after another agency folded.
