Expert Opinion
Clearly, these calls are a relentless telemarketing scam designed to trick businesses into confirming nonexistent magazine subscriptions. Callers repeatedly display the name G Austin D and claim to represent a material handling or officers magazine, pressing for personal or business details that aren’t needed. The safest move is to hang up immediately, never share Social Security numbers, birthdates, or credit information, and avoid engaging with the script. Use your phone’s block feature, report the number to the FTC and your carrier, and consider a third‑party call‑blocking app. Staying vigilant and refusing to verify anything protects you from potential identity theft and wasted time.
