After receiving a call asking for my birthday and credit card number from someone claiming to work for Scotia Credit Card services, I verified with Scotia Bank that it was indeed a scam.

Opinión del experto
This number, +552021300, is likely a scam operation masquerading as a collection agency or credit card service, possibly based in Ontario. Users report multiple calls, often with no response, or calls where the caller claims to be informing you about a credit card interest rate change or credit improvement. The caller may ask for personal information, including your credit card number, which is a major red flag. If you receive a call from this number, do not provide any personal information. Instead, hang up and report the call to your bank and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Stay vigilant and block the number if it persists.

I've been getting calls from this number on my cell, but I never answeer. They never leave a message, either. It's just super anoying, 'cause I always think I'm missing an importint call.
The call was answered, but there was no response from the other end.
This is the tenth time I've gotten a call from this number, and every time, there's just silense on the other end. I try to play along, say 'yes, may I help you?' a couple times, and then I ask them to take me off their list. But of course, they always hang up on me befor I can even finish the sentance.
Who is this number, anyway? They're like a plage, need to be stopped. Cant belive we have to deal with this nonsense.
So I got this sketchy call from this number, some dude asked for me by my last name, claimed to be about my visa or mastercard account. I asked wich one, and he said both...yeah, rite. When I asked him to take my name off their list, he was tottally caught off gaurd. I asked again, and he just hung up on me.
This call claimed my credit card was being improved, but it was a scam, they wanted more information
This number has been blowing up my phone all day, six calls in and counting. Its just anoying.
Ontario-based MJR, likley a collection agency, is the source of this number.
A call informing of a lowered credit card interest rate turned out to be a scam, seeking personal financial information
