A late-night call was received from this number, with a voice that sounded intoxicated, claiming to be my daughter and asking to be picked up

This call is from a person using a kia ora phone card, wich allows peopel to make cheeper calls from their NZ landline to cellphone numbers within NZ, and all calls from NZ will show up with the same Auckland number on caller ID

A call was made to a family member's cellphone, inquiring about the recipient by name, but the caller hung up upon learning they had reached the wrong person, without attempting to contact the intended recipient directly.

It's clear that this number is actualy used by a calling card service in NZ, which is routed through Turks Caicos, I recieve calls from family members through this service all the time
