Block the number right away and never share personal info with callers who claim you’ve won a grant or need remote computer help. These calls often spoof locations like the Turks & Caicos Islands to sound legitimate, but they usually end with a demand for bank details or a request to install software. Let the call go to voicemail, then verify the organization through official channels before taking any action. Report persistent callers to the FTC and consider adding the number to a call‑blocking app. Staying skeptical and keeping personal info, grant offers, and computer support requests separate can stop the scams before they cost you.
