The caller pretended to be Telus yet lacked details any phone provider should definitely possess.
Harassing Calls for Old Tickets—Scam Alert - +1 647-953-9600 ((647) 953-9600)

Opinión del experto
Fraudulent debt collection attempts dominate reports from this number, often impersonating agencies like General Credit Services or City of Toronto officials to demand payment for old fines or nonexistent debts. Calls persist without voicemails, lead to silence, or end abruptly when returned, classic scam tactics to pressure recipients. Legitimate collectors must provide written validation and won't threaten or harass. Block the number immediately, report to authorities like the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, and verify any alleged debts directly with official sources—never pay over the phone. If targeted, document everything for potential complaints to protect against identity theft or unwarranted fees.

Every few days, I receive a call from this number, and this time, a message was left, although the purpose of the call remained unclear, despite their knowledge of my name.
Unidentified caller left a vague voicemail, seemed pointless.
The call was vague and unhelpful, not worth my time.
Likely spam.
Uncertain about the identity of the caller.
Financial services outreach offering a credit upgrade. The offer seemed too good to be true.
Upon recieving a voicemail from this numbe, I noticed it claimes to be from Ontario, yet they mentioned their mailbox is located in Vancuver, which seemed kinda suspisous. When I returned their call, a women answeed and explianed they were a credirt collection agency, but when I asked what my name was, she hesitated befor saying it was Christine, wich is not my name, so I adviced them not to call agen.
These fake collectors are somehow managring to dig up old tickets from the 90s, so dont pay them, insted go to the city yourself and take care of it
Repeated calls were made without leaving any voicemail, and upon returning the call, the line was hung up immediately.
During work hours, this number constanly bothers me with calls, yet never leaves a mesage and hangs up when I try to call back
The caller lets the machine pick up but never leaves a message, resulting in awkward silence.
Daily calls are being made, purporting to be from a collection agency, with attempts to extort money for unfamiliar purchases; the authorities have been notified.
A call was received from this number, claiming to be a credit collection company working on behalf of the City of Toronto, stating that a fine is owed for smoking in the TTC.
Apparently the province of ON was audited and they found millions in uncollected traffic fines, they started by collecting items over $1k, but now they are going after all of them, using collection agencies, seem like ther is no statute of limitions, Ive heard that in some cases, drivers licenes were not renewed or cancelled without the drivers knowledge, but I dont know if thats true, I dont have an ON licene anymore, so I told the caller to leave me alown, if you still live in ON and drive, you may want to check your options
I have been reciving numerous calls from this number, they said I had an outstandig balans, but I have blocked this number.
I've had a similar experience, where a person claimed to be calling on behalf of the City of Toronto, despite my having no direct dealings with the city. The call seemed bogus, and when I asked what they wanted, the woman responded by saying they would call back another time. Now, I'm met with silence whenever I answer, and I've blocked the number. If I truly owed the city money, they could have contacted me via email or regular mail.
This number has called multiple times, never leaves voicemail. When I call back, they say it's 'General Credit Services'
