Upon listening to the voicemail, it became apparent that this was a fraudulent claim of winning a large sum of money, with the caveat of paying government fees upfront - a clear scam.

Expert Opinion
It looks like the number +16469923848 is a common source of scams, often posing as Publishers Clearing House (PCH). The caller, usually identified as "Dave Sayer," claims you've won large sums of money, like $2.5 million, plus weekly payments. However, to claim your prize, they ask for your bank account details and a claim code, typically 369. This is a classic scam tactic. PCH, if they do contact winners, typically shows up in person and doesn't require upfront fees. If you receive such a call, do not share any personal or financial information. Report the call to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and block the number to avoid further harassment. Stay vigilant and skeptical of unsolicited prize offers.
