Expert Opinion
Watch out for unsolicited real‑estate texts that claim they want to buy your home. These messages often pull your address and first name from public records, then pose as a realtor named Jeff or a local agency. Never reply or share personal details, even if the tone sounds friendly. Block the number in your phone and report it to your carrier or the FTC. Verify any legitimate offers by contacting the brokerage directly using a known phone number, not the one that texted you. Consider enabling spam‑filtering apps and regularly audit your contact‑info exposure online.

Multiple text messages have been sent, mistakenly addressing the recipient as the owner of a house they do not own, with the number being linked to a Keller Williams office.
