Beware of unexpected verification calls claiming to be from Best Buy. These rings often use order details to gain trust, but they rarely ask for credit‑card numbers and instead request shipping or email info. Hang up immediately if you didn’t initiate a purchase, then call the official Best Buy customer‑service number found on the retailer’s website. Review recent charges, enable two‑factor authentication on your account, and consider placing a fraud alert with your bank. Report the number to the FTC or your local consumer‑protection agency. Never share personal or financial data over unsolicited calls, and keep a log of suspicious attempts for future reference.
