A Medicare scam call left an urgent message regarding back pain braces, claiming I wouldn't be eligible if I didn't call immediately, which I found entertaining, especially since another call with the same message came in shortly after, this time from a different number, suggesting they switch numbers after multiple attempts.

Expert Opinion
Ever wondered why a silent ring suddenly morphs into a Medicare‑related script? The pattern from +16087786542 looks like an automated dial‑out system that first tests the line with a silent call, then follows up with a recorded “press 1 for a Medicare adviser” message. Callers often spoof carrier IDs like US Cellular to boost credibility, and they’ll repeat the call at different times to increase the chance of a live answer. Block the number, register with the National Do Not Call Registry, and report the incident to the FTC. Never share personal health or payment info with unsolicited callers, and consider using a call‑filtering app to catch silent or repetitive spam.
