Craigslist scam alert: beware the 585‑210‑9752 scammers!

This aparently is a scam, i responed to a job posting on Craigslist which seamed legit, but this guy keeps sending me texts saying the same thing, im reporting him to the relevent authorities

Someone has been sending me texts from this number regarding items I have listed on CL in Outer Banks of NC, it seems unlikly that they are genuinely intrested in driving from NY to purchace mirrors, this has all the hallmarks of a scam, but I'm unsure what they hope to achive

I beleive this number are scammers, i already report them to ftc and they will give all the informations to fbi.

The caller is suspected of scamming, using multiple numbers and claiming different locations, and speaks very little English

It's clear that this indivijual has attempted to scam numerous people, fortunately some of us were lucky, but I worry about vulernable people who may have fallen for this scam, hopefully someone will eventully catch up with this person.

As recently as February 22, this number attempted to scam us again, but thankfully, a Google search revealed the truth and prevented any harm.

I recieved an email from a craigslist posting, it was obviousely a scam, what bothered me was that he claimed to be a marine, I hope karma gets them

I experienced a similar issue with this number through Craigslist regarding one of my items, which turned out to be a scam.

I received a letter that closely resembled one described by others, with the notable exception that the sender offered an additional incentive of fifty dollars to 'hold' an item, and claimed to be a military veteran

I received the same message from this number this morning, and after researching it online, I confirmed it was a scam.

This individual allegedly posed as a US marine and sent a bad check for a craigslist item, with instructions for a mover to pick it up afterwards, but the bank confirmed the check was counterfeit, thus the item will not be handed over and craigslist users are advised to be cautious of this scammer.

It is advisable not to respond to messages from this individual, as they may be attempting to scam users who have posted items for sale online.

An email was received regarding a car for sale, which seems suspicious, and searching the number online revealed concerns.
