Expert Opinion
Picture this: your private, unlisted number rings, and a voice claims to be from RBC demanding payment. The pattern described by multiple callers—repeated calls, vague debt references, and aggressive language—fits the classic profile of a debt collector scam. Hang up immediately, avoid providing personal information, and log the call details. Register the number with the National Do Not Call Registry, and consider adding it to your phone’s block list. If the calls persist, report the number to the FTC and your state’s consumer protection agency. Stay vigilant and keep credit monitoring active to catch any unauthorized activity.
