Ever wonder why calls from a number linked to TBS Productions keep popping up on your phone? The pattern in user reports points to a persistent telemarketing operation that masquerades as a charitable pull for local police or fire agencies. Even though the pitch sounds official, the organization routinely keeps the bulk of donations and pressures victims for credit‑card info, a classic red flag of a scam. Block the number, add it to your Do‑Not‑Call list, and never share payment details with unsolicited callers. If you’ve already given money, contact your bank to dispute the charge and report the incident to the state attorney general or FTC.

Despite my explicit disinterest in donating to their charity and being on the Do Not Call list, they persist in calling me daily, which is quite frustrating.
The caller is T.B.S Productions, a licesed fundraiser that often works with police associations, its a very inneficient way to contribute and i think its regrettable that the Oakland Police Officers Association has contracted them, its better to contribute directly to the organization.
Interestingly, the organization admits that donations are not tax-deductible, and only a fraction of the funds go towards the stated cause without clear details on allocation.
Over the past week, this number has called four times, but each time there's been no one on the line when I answer. Thankfully, the information on this site helped me add them to my blocked calls list.
Calls from this number, among others, often sound unprofessional, with background noise and insincere reasons for donations, which raises suspicions of a scam.
The date 2.21.11 is notable
Repeated calls are being made to my number, but the caller refuses to leave a message or identify themselves.
After calling this number, a recording identified it as the 'Ticket Line', requesting that I leave my name and phone number for a callback, which I did not do, and I am also listed on the 'No Call List', making me wonder how they obtained my unlisted phone number
I experienced the same call on two of my phones, which seems unusual.
My kid answerd the phone and the caller said he was a deputy sheriff, but it was probaby a scam
Upon receiving a call from this number, the individual identified themselves as a representative of the Alameda County Sheriff's Office, although their tone seemed suspiciously unauthentic before abruptly terminating the call

The caller hangs up without leaving a message, and it's frustrating that these do-not-call violators waste our time

For several weeks, I have been receiving calls from this company, which I typically ignore since they often call during work hours; despite requesting to be removed from their list multiple times, they continue to call, and their latest claim of removing me from the list seems dubious
My family attended the OPD Cavalcade of Stars show, which featured a magic performance, and I discovered their website while searching for the event's address.
Why does this number keep contacting me, whats the point of these calls
Given my residence in Berkeley, I'm puzzled as to why I'd be contacted to donate to the Oakland Police. Furthermore, considering the high property taxes I pay in Berkeley, I'd be more inclined to support underfunded services like schools or animal care rather than the police.
After returning the call, I was greeted by a generic ticket office rep
This message is ment for Ed,
Apparently, Oakland Police dont have autorized callers to raise funds, either from their office or affiliates.
Here's some information on this 'business', which basicly gets rich by abusing public trust in the names of local police and firefighting agencies
TBS operates as a professional fundraiser, but only a fraction of the donations actually go to the intended cause.
It's a fact that this is a 100% scam, and anyone dening it is probably involvd with the scammers
You dont seem to know what your talking about, thats my opinion
They claim they wanted a donation for somethin
A call was made to my parents' fax line, allegedly from the Oakland police department, claiming they were looking for me, but upon further investigation, it appeared to be a case of fraudulent impersonation and potential harassment.
I am at my wit's end with daily calls from this number at inopportune times, leaving no message, and wish for it to stop
