Expert Opinion
Ever wonder why a single number keeps showing up in your missed calls? The pattern here points to a classic debt‑collection scam, often masquerading as a legitimate agency like National Credit Recovery. These callers typically demand personal info or payment for debts that are either nonexistent or past the statute of limitations. Never share credit card numbers, Social Security, or banking details over the phone, especially when you didn’t initiate the contact. Hang up, block the number, and report the incident to your carrier and local consumer protection office. If the debt is truly yours, the creditor will send a written notice you can verify.
