When a vague voicemail claims a county process server named Melissa is coming to serve court documents, the odds are it’s a classic legal‑scam. The script‑like language, demand for two IDs, and offer to “stop” the service for a fee are red flags. Hang up, never call the callback number, and verify any legal action directly with the actual court or your attorney. Block the number, report it to your carrier and the FTC, and educate coworkers about the ploy. Keep personal info locked away and treat unsolicited legal threats with healthy skepticism.

Apparently, they claim to have recieved a fax document or somthing similar, stating theres a pending lawsuit agenst you, which is compleatly false. They pretend to be a proces server who cant disclose the case details since its alledgely sealed, but in reality, its just a tactic to get you to call another number where they demand money to make the issue dissappear, they usualy work in teams, one pretending to be the server and the other a lawyer. They also make threats to serve you at your home or workplace, saying they need a suprivisor or HR person as a witness, which is not true, proces servers dont call ahead to warn you.
I recieve the same scam message, whats the point of this bs?
A claim of debt from 20 years ago was made by the caller
Out of nowhere, i recieved a voicemail with no prior missed call, the message stated i had court documents to sign and they needed 2 forms of goverment id, if i wanted to cease this order i could contact the filer
A voicemail from an unknown caller, later identified as 430-803-0595, contained a message from someone claiming to be Melissa, a private carrier for the county. The message threatened service of court documents, but the authenticity of the claim is questionable, especially given the lack of familiarity with the individual mentioned, Aaron Green.
The call was from a private number, they claim to have legal paper that need signin, but the recording didnt say who it was
They claimes to be calling from the county, and if i wanted to stop the order, i should contact the other party, and she will see me soon, thats whats they said
It was dificult to understand what they were trying to say
The call was from a private number, wich was already suspicious, and the recording threatened to send legal documents to my workplace, but they didnt even have my correct name, and they provided a call back number for disputes, wich was weird.
