Expert Opinion
Watch out for calls that ring once and drop straight into silence—those are classic signs of a spoofed robocall aimed at extracting personal data. The recurring theme here is a fabricated "Allen Lock & Key" identity paired with bogus vehicle warranty warnings, a tactic used to spark urgency and lure victims into a phishing trap. Block the number at the carrier level, report it to the FTC, and never share credit‑card or account details during an unsolicited call. If you do answer, let the call go to voicemail; legitimate businesses always leave a trace. Keep your do‑not‑call registry active and consider a reputable call‑blocking app for added protection.
