At 12:56 PM today, I received a call that went straight to my answering machine, but no message was left, prompting me to block the number after reviewing the comments below.

These individuals persist in calling, falsely claiming to represent Microsoft Windows and seeking to access my computer. I was deliberately rude to them in the hopes that they would cease contacting me.
All the descriptions below are accurate - the caller had an Indian accent and was extremely rude, claiming my computer was sending him messages via Microsoft Windows; fortunately, I have a MAC and was not fooled, so I advise others to either hang up or not answer.
The caller claimed to be contacting me about my computer, but when I inquired about their complience with the telephone prefrence service, they hung up, likely due to bein a US number and not bein bound by UK regualtions, and havin an Indian accent.
They call every night about home improvement, I asked to be removed from the call list, the guy was polite at first, but then his behavior become harrassing
Despite being on the do not call list, I received a call from someone claiming to be 'John' at 347-650-3899, which ended abruptly when I expressed disinterest. The effectiveness of this list is clearly questionable.
