Repeated patterns show callers framing themselves as a CDC‑linked survey, often routed through a research firm like NORC at the University of Chicago. The script is short, the tone scripted, and the calls drop when you engage—classic hallmark of a high‑volume research outreach that’s become a nuisance. If you keep getting them, let the call go to voicemail, then block the number or add it to your carrier’s spam filter. Consider registering your line with the national Do‑Not‑Call registry and report persistent callers to your phone provider. Blocking and reporting are your best tools to curb these unwanted surveys.

Despite claiming to be from the CDC, the caller continued to harass after being told there was no interest in the call.
It's amusing to note that others believe this call is from the CDC for a survey. If it weren't for the fact that it's a waste of time and I have no recollection of childhood vaccinations, I might have engaged with them and seen how long I could keep them on the phone.
Over the last 10 days, I've received 6 calls from this number, claiming to be from the CDC, but when returned, they answer as The University of Chicago. I've requested to be added to their do-not-call list.
Receiving sales calls is thoroughly disappointing and frustrating
