Yesterday afternoon my phone rang with no voicemail, and the caller claimed to be from a charity while another simply demanded I stop contacting me despite being on the Do Not Call list. In these mixed signals, the safest move is to let unknown numbers go to voicemail, verify any nonprofit claims through official channels, and register or reaffirm your Do Not Call preferences with the FTC. Never share personal data or payment info over a cold call, and consider blocking persistent numbers. If the calls continue, file a complaint with the FCC and your carrier’s spam‑filter service.
This number is associated with Breast Cancer Charities of America, which is soliciting donations.
Despite being on the national do not call list, this number still called my cell phone without leaving a message, which is frustrating and disrespectful.
