This number called me excessively, up to 15 times a day, even bypassing my do-not-disturb setting during work hours, until I finally blocked it
Today, at 11:45 am, I had a call from this number, with the representative asking for me by name and referencing the last four digits of my social security number, which is alarming. The claim was of an outstanding debt to BofA from 2008, despite my never having an account with them and not using checks. The representative refused to provide a company address and had access to my full mailing address, suggesting my information may have been sourced online.
Obviously, recieving a missed call on my priveate pre-paid cell at 9AM was suspisious; especailly since this phone is not connected to any accts that would require my SS#, so if they were trying to 'verify' then I would of know they were PHISHING!
A series of calls were made from this number, among several others, all of which featured robotic messages claiming my social security number was being canceled due to fraud. The agent, who contacted me from a spoofed VOIP, was searching for a person named Wendy, despite my number being registered under a different name. The agent agreed to remove my number from their list after I threatened to report them to the FCC.
A superviser should contact me to explain the purpose of these calls, as the current situation is unacceptable
