Expert Opinion

These repeated calls are classic signs of a credit‑card or identity‑theft scam. Callers spoof reputable brands like Experian or Expedia to gain trust, then press for personal data. Never share Social Security or account numbers over the phone, especially if you didn't initiate the call. Hang up, block the number, and report the incident to the FTC and your credit bureaus. Consider placing a fraud alert on your credit file and regularly monitor statements for unauthorized activity. If you suspect a breach, contact the actual company using a verified phone number, not the one the caller provided.
