ITDCPC is a service related to income tax filing and verification. The sender of the SMS messages is e-Filing, Inc which sends OTPs for contact details and user verifications. ITDCPC stands for Central Processing Centre (CPC) that processes income tax returns filed by taxpayers in India. They can send intimation under section 143(1)(a) within one year from the end of financial year after processing taxpayer's return with calculations as per their computation along with communication about proposed adjustments if any are required u/s 143(1)(a). It has been advised by Income Tax Department to check whether an email or message received from them comes only through verified sources like emails, websites or SMSes before opening it due to phishing scams being prevalent nowadays targeting unsuspecting individuals who might fall prey into giving away sensitive information unknowingly thereby compromising themselves financially without realizing what they have done wrong until much later when things go awry!
